This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for the perpetual license fee of UNITY software and any associated services provided by [Effitrix Systems Pvt. Ltd] (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing a license for UNITY, you agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.

UNITY is offered with a perpetual license model, meaning a one-time fee grants you the right to use the software instance indefinitely. Due to the nature of software licensing and the immediate provision of the software upon successful payment and delivery of the license key/installation files, our general policy is as follows:

  • No Refunds After Activation or Initial Installation: Once the UNITY software has been activated by the Licensee (school/educational institution) or the initial installation files/license key have been delivered and the software is made available for use, the perpetual license fee is non-refundable.
  • Pre-Activation/Pre-Delivery Exception (Limited): A refund of the perpetual license fee may be considered only in highly exceptional circumstances and strictly before the software is activated or the license key/installation files are delivered to the Licensee. Any such request must be made in writing within 7 (seven) calendar days of the initial payment date. Approval of such a refund is at our sole discretion and may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover administrative and processing costs.

Refunds for separately purchased services, such as:

  • Implementation and Customization Services
  • Training Services
  • Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) Services
  • Cloud Hosting Services

will be governed by the specific terms and conditions outlined in the respective service agreements or statements of work. Generally:

  • Unused Services: If a service agreement is cancelled before the commencement of services or if services are terminated prematurely, a pro-rata refund for the unutilised portion of the service may be considered, subject to any non-refundable setup fees, minimum commitment periods, or cancellation clauses specified in the service agreement.
  • Cancellation of AMS/Hosting: Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) and Cloud Hosting fees are typically billed on an annual or recurring basis. Cancellations will generally take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no refunds will be provided for the current active period, unless otherwise stipulated in the specific AMS or hosting agreement.

For any refund request to be considered (only under the limited pre-activation/pre-delivery exception for perpetual license or as per service agreement terms), the following conditions must be met:

  • The request must be submitted in writing to our designated contact email.
  • The request must clearly state the reason for the refund.
  • Any non-delivery of the software or services must be demonstrably attributable to our failure.
  • The Licensee must not have activated, installed, or otherwise used the software.
  • Any outstanding dues from the Licensee must be cleared.

  • Your Institution Name and Contact Person.
  • Invoice Number and Date of Purchase.
  • Details of the license or service for which a refund is sought.
  • Clear reason for the refund request.

We will review your request and respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically 15-30 business days, informing you of the decision and, if approved, the process for the refund.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase, wherever feasible, or via bank transfer. Please note that it may take several business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s policies.

We reserve the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy32 on our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically33 for any changes.
