Medical College ERP Built for Indian Compliance
The only university ERP with NMC MSR 2023 built in — not configured, not add-on. Clinical posting tracking, CBME case logs, OSCE assessments and faculty strength monitoring out of the box.
Why Medical Colleges Need a Different ERP
Generic university software fails the NMC inspection. Here is where it breaks — and how Unity is built differently.
The gap: NMC inspectors require attendance data split by theory and clinical — not a combined figure. Generic ERPs store one attendance number per student per course.
Unity: Unity tracks theory attendance % and clinical attendance % as two independent fields per posting. The NMC 75% threshold is enforced separately for each. Defaulter lists are generated per type.
The gap: CBME mandates curriculum maps with actual delivery proof per session. Most ERPs have a timetable — not a curriculum map with CO mapping, teaching methods, and a linked teaching log.
Unity: Unity Curriculum Maps link each topic to a learning outcome and teaching method. Every session is logged as a Teaching Record against its map entry. Coverage % = records delivered divided by planned sessions times 100.
The gap: Faculty strength per MSR 2023 must be tracked by designation (Professor / Associate / Assistant) across 13 specific departments. A staff list does not satisfy NMC — the shortfall note must identify the gap.
Unity: Unity's NMC Faculty Compliance DocType tracks required vs actual count by designation for all 13 NMC departments. Shortfall notes are auto-generated. The compliance record is exportable for NMC audit.
Real-Time NMC Compliance at a Glance
Six KPIs covering student eligibility, faculty strength, exam results and curriculum coverage — all derived automatically from operational data.
Student Eligibility Rate
% of students meeting NMC attendance thresholds (Theory 75% and Clinical 75%)
Green if 90%+, Orange if 75%+, Red if below 75%
Attendance Defaulters
Students below NMC threshold in either theory or clinical
Red if above 0, Green if 0
Faculty NMC Compliance
% of 13 departments meeting MSR 2023 faculty strength norms by designation
Drills to NMC Faculty Compliance list
Theory Exam Pass %
Pass rate against NMC pass mark of 50% per theory component
NMC requires theory and practical to pass independently
Practical Pass %
Pass rate for practical component — tracked separately from theory per NMC
Both theory and practical must pass independently
Curriculum Coverage
CBME sessions delivered vs planned across all course offerings
Target 80%+ per CBME guidelines

Six Modules. Every NMC Requirement Covered.
Each module is a purpose-built DocType — not a generic form — with the exact fields NMC inspectors look for during site visits.
MBBS Clinical Posting
Track student rotations: department, supervisor, posting type (Compulsory / Elective / Internship), start and end dates. Theory attendance % and clinical attendance % are tracked as separate fields per NMC requirement — not combined.
CBME Case Logs
10 case logs required per clinical posting. Students log case date, type (Observed / Assisted / Independent), patient demographics, and diagnosis. Each log requires supervisor verification before it counts toward the CBME requirement.
OSCE Assessment
5 stations x 20 marks = 100 marks total. Station types: History, Examination, Procedure, Communication. Pass/fail recorded per station with examiner name. OSCE pending count monitored live on the Clinical Coordinator Dashboard.
NMC Faculty Strength
Track all 13 NMC departments: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, OB & Gyn, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT. Required vs actual count by designation (Professor / Associate / Assistant). Shortfall notes auto-generated.
MBBS Exam Components
Theory, Practical, and Viva tracked as independent pass/fail components per NMC rules. Pass mark: 50% per component. Supplementary in 2 or more subjects triggers the NMC year-down rule — automatically flagged on the Clinical Coordinator Dashboard.
Curriculum Maps + Teaching Records
Plan sessions per course offering (topic, teaching method, planned week, learning outcome). Log actual delivery as Teaching Records linked to the map entry. Coverage % = records delivered divided by planned times 100. NAAC Criterion 2 evidence chain built in as a byproduct.
