Quick Answers
Can parents see the bus route and stop?
Yes. Each student is assigned to a stop. Parents see the route name, stop, and estimated time in the parent app.
How does document expiry alerting work?
Enter each document's expiry date. The system sends alerts to the transport manager at 30, 15, and 7 days before.
Can we prorate transport fees?
Yes. Mid-year joins pay from their start month. Withdrawals are billed only up to the last active month.
Does it integrate with GPS tracking?
This module handles fleet, routes, fees, and compliance. For live GPS tracking, see the Transportation Tracking System.
Can we manage field trip buses too?
Yes. Create a field trip route type with its own stops, vehicle, and student list — separate from daily routes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can parents see the bus route and stop?

Yes. Each student is assigned to a specific stop on a route. Parents can see their child's assigned pickup and drop-off point, the route name, and estimated arrival time through the parent app.

How does document expiry alerting work?

When you enter a vehicle's RC, insurance, PUC, or fitness certificate, the system records the expiry date. It sends alerts to the transport manager at 30, 15, and 7 days before expiry so renewals happen on time.

Can we prorate transport fees?

Yes. When a student joins mid-year or withdraws before the term ends, the system calculates transport fees proportionally. You can bill only for the months the student uses the bus.

Does it integrate with GPS tracking?

Transport Operations manages the fleet, routes, fees, and compliance side. For live GPS tracking, parent notifications, and driver monitoring, see the Transportation Tracking System module — they work together.

Can we manage field trip buses too?

Yes. You can create route types beyond daily pickup and drop — including activity buses, field trip routes, and special event transport. Each route type has its own stops, assigned vehicles, and student lists.
