Gamification & Engagement

Turn every school action
into a reward

Students earn points for attendance, homework, and quizzes. Staff earn for task completion. Parents earn for fee timeliness. Everyone has a wallet, a streak, and a reason to show up.

Not an add-on. Built into the ERP — every module feeds the gamification engine.

How it works
Who earns points?
Students, staff, and parents — each has their own wallet. Points are earned automatically from ERP actions (attendance marked, fee paid, task completed).
What can points be redeemed for?
Canteen credit, stationery, library privileges, fee discounts, or any item the school adds to its reward catalog.
Is it fair?
Anti-gaming rules prevent exploitation. Points expire. Leagues reset weekly so everyone starts fresh. Disputes can be raised against penalties.
Does it link to academics?
Yes — quiz scores, homework streaks, library usage, and event participation all feed the student wallet automatically.

Why schools need gamification

Recognition is manual

Certificates at annual day. Nothing in between. 180 school days with zero acknowledgment of daily effort.

No incentive for consistency

A student who attends every day for 3 months gets the same recognition as one who showed up for the award ceremony.

Staff motivation is invisible

Good work gets a verbal thank-you. There is no system that tracks, scores, or rewards consistent performance.

Student Wallet

Every positive action earns points

Attendance, homework, quizzes, library visits, event participation — each feeds the student wallet automatically. No teacher has to manually award anything.

 • Points earned for: attendance, homework submission, quiz scores, library returns, event participation
 • Streaks: consecutive days present, weekly homework chains, reading streaks
 • Leaderboard: class-level, division-level, school-level standings
 • Badges & shields unlocked at configurable milestones
 • Personal best tracking — students compete against themselves
 • Redemption: spend points on canteen credit, stationery, privileges from the reward catalog

 • Penalty deductions for SLA breaches, missed tasks, late arrivals
 • Performance score visible to supervisor and feeds appraisal cycle
 • Teacher discretion awards — spot bonuses for exceptional student behaviour

 • Bonus salary component mappable from gamification points
Guardian Wallet

Parents who pay on time, attend PTMs, and refer — earn rewards

Fee Timeliness

Points awarded for each fee payment made before due date. Higher points for full-year payment.

PTM & Engagement

Points for attending PTMs, responding to notices, and using the parent app regularly.

Referrals

Both referrer and referred family earn points when a new admission is confirmed through referral.

Points redeemable against next-term fees, school store items, or event tickets.

Leagues & Challenges

Weekly competition. Fresh starts. Real stakes.

Every week, students and staff compete in leagues. Standings reset so nobody is permanently behind. Time-bound challenges add variety.

 • Weekly leagues: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum progression
 • League resets every Sunday night — fresh start for everyone
 • League snapshots preserved for historical record
 • Class-vs-class challenges (e.g. “Highest average attendance this week”)
 • Time-bound challenges: “Read 5 books this month”, “Zero late arrivals for 2 weeks”
 • Challenge settlement: winners announced, points awarded automatically

Fairness & Integrity

Built to be fair — not exploitable

Anti-gaming rules

Points expire after a configurable period. No hoarding for years without action.

Dispute mechanism

Students or staff can dispute penalties. Reviewed by supervisor before resolution.

Immutable audit log

Every point earned, deducted, or redeemed is logged with timestamp and reason. Cannot be edited.

Configurable rules

Schools define their own point values, expiry periods, and anti-gaming thresholds.

Weekly reset

Leagues reset weekly so a bad week doesn’t define the term. Everyone gets a fresh start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What actions earn points for students?

Students earn points for daily attendance, on-time homework submission, quiz scores, library book returns, event participation, and good behaviour (via teacher discretion awards). Each action has a configurable point value set by the school.

Can parents earn points too?

Yes. The Guardian Wallet awards points for on-time fee payment, PTM attendance, parent app engagement, and successful referrals. Points can be redeemed against next-term fees or items from the school reward catalog.

How does Unity prevent students from gaming the system?

Anti-gaming rules detect abnormal patterns (e.g. repeated library check-in/check-out in minutes). Points expire after a configurable period. Disputes can be raised against penalties. Every transaction is logged in an immutable audit trail.

Are leaderboards visible to students?

Yes. Students see their class league standing, personal best scores, and badge progress. League standings reset weekly so every student gets a fresh start. Schools can configure whether leaderboards show names or remain anonymous.

Can staff gamification be linked to appraisals?

Yes. Staff performance scores from the gamification wallet feed into the HRMS appraisal cycle. Schools can also configure a bonus salary component that maps gamification points to monetary value.

Make every day count — literally.

Students, staff, and parents — all earning, all engaged, all visible. No more invisible effort.
